Newly Hired Employees If you are a new employee, you must elect or waive coverage within 60 days from your date of hire. New employees are eligible for benefits the first day of the month coinciding with or following 60 days of employment in a benefit-eligible position. If you plan to enroll dependents under your coverage, have your dependents' birth dates and Social Security numbers during your online enrollment. Documentation for each dependent verifying eligibility for coverage must be emailed to HR@scrippshealth.org or faxed to 858-678-6959 prior to your benefits effective date. Enter your employee ID number and your passcode, which is the month and day of your date of birth (MMDD format).
