If your school is a member of Complio:

The school administrator will need to create a rotation and add the student(s) to the rotation. Once created, an email with instructions is automatically sent to the student(s) to complete and upload each requirement. Once the student completes the requirements, the school administrator shares the rotation profile with Student Placements via the “Share” function. If you need training on this process, please contact Complio at 1-800-200-0853.

If your school is not a member of Complio:

The student will need to create an account and subscribe to a screening package.

Account Creation:

To create an account, the student will need to access the following web address in a browser: http://scrippsbackground.com/ then click on “New Users” to create the account.

Account Subscription:

Once the account is created, the student will need to select the Clinical Bundle. The student will then choose the type of bundle: either Nursing, Respiratory, or Other. Lastly, the student will need to select the Scripps Tracking Package, and the Package 1: Background and Drug Screen.

The Student will also need to pay for the package, and then complete and upload the requirements as directed in the screens. If assistance is needed with this process, please contact Complio at 1-800-200-0853.

Please refer to this Student Guide regarding creating a Complio Profile and Sharing for more details:

Epic is the electronic medical record used at Scripps. To receive access to Epic, students and instructors are required to complete Epic eLearning modules. This training consists of several online eLearning modules that are specific to each discipline. At this time, these eLearning modules must be completed on a computer at Scripps Health. Student Placements will send the Epic eLearning modules in the email with the Corporate ID and Computer Access to the instructor or preceptor once the student’s computer access is activated. The email will contain the direct links to the Epic eLearning modules specific to the discipline, an Epic eLearning Attestation form, and information regarding Epic drop-in clinics.

Epic drop-in clinics:

Student Placements has Epic Drop-in Clinics hosted at Scripps Center for Learning and Innovation for students and instructors. Please refer to the Epic Drop-in Clinic Instructions for the rules and instructions for attending these clinics. The annual Epic Drop-in Calendar with the upcoming dates and times of these clinics is below.
